Trudy Smith is a certified LSLS Auditory Verbal Therapist with a Master degree in Education. She is also a PhD candidate at Deakin University and is currently the Manager of Continuing Professional Education at the Royal Institute for Deaf & Blind Children (RIDBC) in Australia.
She has been a Teacher of the Deaf for over 20 years and she is the current national president of the National Association of Australian Teachers of the Deaf (NAATD). She has many experiences as a classroom teacher, itinerant support teacher and as the Statewide Education Advisor.
